‘M.V. Glitra’ was built at Wallsend on Tyne in 1952 for Christian Salvesen & Co. of Leith for UK-Scandinavia trade. She was sold to Somalia in 1969 and renamed ‘Meliora’. In 1971, she was lost in heavy weather.
