The oil-fired, steam trawler ‘Lancer’ GY.65. She was built in 1949 by Cook, Welton & Gemmell of Beverley for Loyal Steam Fishing Co. Ltd. In 1966, she was sold to Northern Trawlers, Ltd., Grimsby. In 1968, she was scrapped in Antwerp, Belgium.

In 1954, ‘Lancer’ recorded the shortest trip to Iceland from the Humber (eight days seven hours dock to dock). She landed 1,100 kits which grossed £4,238.
