RRS ‘John Biscoe’ was built in 1956 by Fleming & Ferguson, Paisley, Scotland. She was operated by the British Antarctic Survey and her home port was Stanley in the Falkland Islands.

RRS ‘John Biscoe’ was sold in 1992 and sailed as ‘Fayza Express’. She was scrapped in Turkey in 2004.

John Biscoe was an English explorer who discovered parts of Antarctica in the early 1830s.
