An original photographic postcard by Charles N. Jamson, Empire View Productions, Doncaster. Charles N. Jamson was one of a family of photographers.
The postcard was posted from Cleethorpes on 7th September 1936 to James R. ‘Jim’ & Mabel Mee of 10 Fence Houses, Fence Hill, Woodhouse Mill, Sheffield. Jim was a joiner.
Note the tram from the the Old Market, Grimsby. On it, it says, ”Lincolnshire Motor Co. Ltd., Wireless Engineers, Wellowgate”.
No motor cars, carriages or cycles are allowed on the Promenade.
The sign with the hand points to the Bathing Pool.
The name of the gift shop is partially obliterated by the Jubilee Fountain.
Near the extreme left, it says ALLSOPP in huge letters on the end of the building.
