The postcard was posted from Grimsby by ‘B’ on Saturday 25th August 1951. The recipient was Miss A. M. Tyack, The Old Rectory, Stainton-le-Vale, Tealby, Lincoln.

The message says, “The new garage on the left & beyond that the Post Office – ?????a’s old cottage in the foreground – at present empty – & over on the right a glimpse of Mrs. Houlden’s which is, as I told you, now a private house. The Sanderson’s old cottage still there but with a corrugated tin roof in place of thatch. Love. B.”.
