Paddle steamer trip from Grimsby to Spurn Point 1951.
From the original amateur photograph. This is one of a small collection of 1951 holiday photographs obtained from Manchester.
When business was less busy, usually at a weekend, one of the Humber Ferry paddle steamers often provided an excursion to Spurn Point and back. This 1951 trip was from Grimsby. The steamer left the Royal Dock Basin for a cruise occupying about 2 hours. These excursions proved very popular at the time!
