Icelandic trawler ‘Karlsefni’ RE.24 at Grimsby 1986.

Built in Germany in 1966 as ‘Jochen Homann’. Karlsefni hf. of Iceland bought the trawler in 1972 and renamed it ‘Karlsefni’ RE.24. She was sold to Chile in 1989 and renamed ‘Friosur IV’. Sank off the coast of Chile in 1994.

Note: Thorfinn Karlsefni was an explorer and trader, born c980–95 in Iceland.
