Grimsby Fish Docks

In 1992, the oil industry regulated that ex-trawlers were no longer suitable as support vessels for oil rigs. These boats were subsequently laid up at Grimsby awaiting their fate.

The two boats with names visible are ‘Cam Lynx’ and ‘Cam Civet’. These were formerly the Ross ‘Cat’ boats ‘Ross Lynx’ GY.626 and ‘Ross Civet’ GY.650. Both these boats were sold on the international market and were reconverted to trawlers. They were fishing in foreign parts for some years.
