In 1992, the oil industry regulated that ex-trawlers were no longer suitable as support vessels for oil rigs. These boats were subsequently laid up at Grimsby awaiting their fate.
The boats with names visible are ‘Cam Civet’, ‘Cam Lynx’ and ‘Cam Jackal’. Also, snibbies ‘Pacemaker’ GY.165 and ‘Carol Ann’ GY.436.
The businesses in front of Ross House with names visible are Tom Sleight F.S. Ltd., Sea Sparkle (Services) Ltd. and Cosalt – Fishing Gear.
