‘Farid’ was built as a stern trawler in 1971 by W. R. Cunis Ltd., Woolwich. She was renamed ‘Renfrew’ in 1978 and sailed out of Aberdeen as a safety ship. In 1979 she was lengthened by a few metres.

‘Renfrew’ is shown here being painted in the colours of Cam Shipping Ltd. In 1990 she was registered as ‘Cam Sprite’. In 1997 she was renamed ‘Carmela’ and sailed out of Malta. In 2011 she was renamed again as ‘Mar Nova’. Broken up in 2021.

Note the Ford Escort van in Marconi livery.
