Edwardian housemaid; most probably Hypatia Bickers of Grimsby.
Hypatia Bickers (1883-1956) was born in Hull. She was the daughter of George Bickers, a copper smith.
In 1901, Hypatia was housemaid to James C. White, chemist of “Park Villa” in Eleanor Street.
She married Thomas Palmer Beckett in 1908. At the time, she was living/working at “The Crofts”, Bargate. This was the home of Frederick Baxter Coulson, fish merchant. (This was later the home of Leslie Kingsford Osmond.)
