‘Roman’ GY.253 was a freezer trawler built in Port Glasgow by Ferguson Bros. Ltd. in 1974 for B.U.T.

Subsequent names were: ‘Roman’ H.253 1978. ‘Roman I’ (Greenland) 1985. ‘Andri I’ 1989. ‘Faroe Venture’ 1990. ‘Southern Aquarius’ 1992 (South Africa and then Namibia).
